Baby Camel Throws by Brun de Vian-Tiran

For nearly half a century, we select the finest fibers and remove the coarser outer hairs, to obtain the foamy feel typical to our Camel hair blankets. This baby camel throw is exceptionally soft. It comes in One size and is self fringed, 100% baby camel that weighs in at 230g/m² in natural camel color.

The Turkmen Camel is a Dromedary variety, which the fleece, in natural brown colors, is exceptionally soft and fine. This Chamaeau Turkmen Camel throw is so very soft made from the finest of the camel hairs. 100% Turkmen Camel that weighs in at 230g/m² in a weave of natural colors that create a tartan pattern. Self Fringed.

Camel Throws:

Like other luxury wools, camel hair is extremely soft, durable, lustrous, lightweight, and warm. Throw manufacturers prefer the fabric in its natural state (a buttery, golden brown),colors very depending on the breed. Since it is so highly prized and expensive to harvest, camel hair is usually blended with sheep's wool to make it more economical for the manufacturer to produce.

Camel hair comes from the Bactrian (two hump) camel, which is bred in the extremely cold climates of China and Mongolia. The hair is gathered when the camel molts instead of by shearing or clipping. The fibers are used in the making of our beautiful blankets because of its warmth.

g/m² or gsm is a quality of fabric measurement meaning grams per square meter. Robes and Towels usually have a g/m² from 300 to 800. A paper towel would have a g/m² of 35 to 50.
